Bridie's List in the Town Hall
As the Diary was unable to attend last night's performance of Bridie's List in the Town Hall Theatre, we're showing this selection of photographs from the dress rehearsal on Friday night, writes Brian Byrne.
We hope everyone enjoyed the Kilcullen debut of the one-act play by Anna Dunlea (left below in the theatre's control room) which featured her grandmother Nessa as Bridie, and Vivian Clarke and John Coleman as the two priests at loggerheads in their parish. Anna's mother Sandra also had a key part.
The evening's entertainment included a sketch, The Lotto, performed by Dick Dunphy and Esther Reddy.
We understand the whole evening went brilliantly for all concerned, and the contribution to drama in Kilcullen by Anna's grandfather, the late Pat Dunlea, was remembered by members of the cast after the final curtain. Maurice O'Mahoney was MC for the evening.
The full set of the Diary's pictures can be found here.
