Reminder of tools collection

A reminder that Kilcullen Lions Club will have a collection area available at Kilcullen Community Centre, beside the Coffee Hatch, on Saturday next 18th November, writes Daragh Fitzgerald, for donations of used manual hand tools such as spades, shovels, rakes etc, sewing machines and electric hand tools. 

These items do not have to be in working order but should be in such a condition that they can be refurbished for use again. 

All donated items will be sent to Belfast to the not for profit organisation “Tools for Solidarity” for repair/refurbishment and will then be shipped to Tanzania where they will be used to assist local communities become more self reliant through training and the establishment of small sustainable businesses.

The collection times are  from 10 am to 12 noon.
