A cheque for a substantial contribution to Kilcullen GAA's development aims was presented to the club's committee last evening on behalf of Danny Houlihan, MD of Ashbourne Meats, writes Brian Byrne.
It was handed over by Christy Howard, Kilcullen GAA President and Trustee, who said Mr Houlihan was aware of the current Field of Dreams project, and had contributed in the past to Kilcullen GAA's clubhouse improvements.
"I see this development as an opportunity to maximise the use of our new additional facilities," Christy Howard said, mentioning specifically the Club Academy providing coaching to achieve 'the highest level of participation and standards' for the club into the future.
Saying he was honoured to hand over the contribution on behalf of Danny Houlihan — "a longtime friend and a supporter of the GAA" — he thanked the club members who had attended.
