Shamrocks lose out in hard-fought final

In a very hard-fought U14 Hurling League Final game last evening, Clane eventually got the upper hand in the second half, writes Martin Sheridan of the South Kildare Shamrocks. In a very absorbing first half the Shamrocks led at the break 2-3:0-2, but the final score was Shamrocks 2-5, Clane 5-7.
A great effort from all the lads, and lots of skill and commitment from both teams. Well done lads, and let's look forward to the second half of the season.
Many thanks for the great support we received, it was great to hear the encouragement the lads received from all that turned up. A massive thanks to all from the Mentors and the Shamrocks.
Meanwhile, the Shamrocks U12 Hurling team are playing St Laurence's in the League Final in Rathangan on Friday evening at 6.45pm. Wishing them the best of luck from all involved with the Shamrocks and our many supporters.
