Refurbishment work on Fairy Trail

In a combined operation with KCA helpers Levi, Eoin, Steve and Derek, Ger Doyle led a major refurbishment of the Fairy Trail in The Valley last evening, writes Antoinette Buckley.

The base of the Gilly House has been repaired, extended and painted and a chalk board painted on its back.

Several more fairy houses will be installed next week when Derek makes the bases for them — they will need to be cemented in place for obvious reasons. 

A big thank you to Kildare Credit Union for supporting the upgrade project, Cllr Tracey O’Dwyer for allocating €3,000 in LPT funding, Michelle Reddy and Paula Phelan for fundraising over €2,000 towards the project. A big thank you also to KCA and the wonderful team of volunteers.
