Music event in Riverbank will cross all boundaries

For traditional music lovers with wideband tastes, a collaborate presentation in Riverbank Arts Centre next month promises a fun-filled concert occasion.
On Friday 12 May it brings together hardingfele and fiddle player Liz Knowles from Kentucky, Congolese guitarist-vocalist Niwel Tsumbu, and Irish concertina master Niall Vallely.
It will be an event that showcases how music has no national or cultural boundaries, and instead can bring everyone together in both playing and audience enjoyment.
Tickets are priced €18/€15 and can be booked through the Box Office, either in person or by telephone on 045 448327 Monday to Friday 9.30am-5pm (closed for lunch 2-2.30) and Saturday 10am-1pm. Tickets can also be booked 24/7 at riverbank.ie.
(The hardingfele is a fiddle traditional to Norway, with eight or nine strings.)
