Full house for April Memory Monday

There was another full turnout to yesterday's Memory Monday in Kilcullen Library, where the theme of the meeting was 'The Big House'.

Stories were swapped of life in a number of such houses in the Kilcullen area, including New Abbey House, previously the home of the Urquhart family.

The Memory Mondays are held once a month as part of the Brigid 1500 celebrations. Due to other commitments on Mondays the Diary is unable to attend, but from all reports they are turning out to be a superb source of local anecdote, history and heritage.
