Big work on GAA project starts next month
The new Kilcullen GAA pitches could be in operation in June 2024, writes Brian Byrne. This follows the clearance of the site behind Avondale in recent weeks.
The next stage is the filling of the site to the levels required and work on this is expected to commence in May. It is hoped that construction of the pitches can begin in August.
The planned walkway and cycleway elements will hopefully be constructed later this year, though they are subject to grant funding for which the club is currently in the process of application.
There will be a full update on the project in the May issue of The Bridge.
