Spoiled for choice on Culture Night in local MD

Newbridge is the culture capital of the Kildare-Newbridge Municipal District this evening with no less than 14 of the 24 Culture Night 2022 events in the MD taking place in and around the town, writes Brian Byrne.
The full list with locations and timings in the various towns in the MD can be viewed here.  Among the Newbridge events are music and writing workshops, heritage and music walking tours, art exhibitions, stories from residents, and performances of gospel and jazz.
In Kildare there are choices from a photos exhibition, drawing and painting games for families, a walking tour of the new Acorn Trail, art exhibition, celebration of the autumn equinox, and local folk tales in the town's SeanchaĆ Bookshop.
A rousing session with St Brigid's Pipe Band is the attraction in the Curragh at the Family Resource Centre, Rathangan has an art and textile exhibition celebrating life in the village, and in Kilcullen there's an evening of story and song in the Library from residents who are former military people.
The sole online event is a film launch by ShamrockSpring about the Curragh Wool Culture.
All free, and we're spoiled for choice.
