Nicholastown summer gathering

There was a great summer gathering at the 'Ring' on Nicholastown on Saturday last, writes Ray Kelly. Young and old, new and established residents sat out, chatted, ate and laughed.

A pig on a spit was the main attraction, succulently cooked by long time residents Anthony and Mary Lambe. 

Games and some sports went down well on the main Green — well done Imelda, Amanda, Keith, Mary and Marina, it's hard work to keep a load of kids occupied and happy.

Already planning for next year's event.
