The Creative, covered, in Woodbine today

A discussion with Irish artist Dede Gold will take place in Woodbine Books this morning, from 11am, writes Brian Byrne.

After graduating in law in TCD in 1993 Dede practiced as a solicitor in Dublin and London before becoming an artist. She specialises in paintings of dogs.

Dede has had solo shows in London, her work has been exhibited in art fairs in London, New York and Kentucky, and she most recently participated in a collaborative show in Dublin.

She will be talking with Newbridge-based communications guru Tamso Doyle about Dede's book The Creative, covered, which chronicles the highs and lows of the creative life as a roadmap for others who feel they might like to follow her path, or simply just want to understand what makes creative people tick. She says it's the book she wishes someone had given her when she was starting out.
