Fit Squad schools visits returning in September
Fitness visits to schools, sponsored by banana import giant Fyffes, are to recommence in September following a two-year pandemic hiatus, writes Brian Byrne.
The visits by health and fitness expert Tom Dalton were initiated four years ago as the Fit Squad programme. Covid and schools closures pushed the initiative online.
Each visit is of 45-minutes duration and includes an active workout designed to improve children’s general fitness through engagement and fun-filled activities, supported by talks and tips on healthy eating.
Schools interested in participating are invited to register here.
