2022 Town and Village Renewal Scheme open for expressions of interest

Tackling vacancy and dereliction is the primary focus of the 2022 Town and Village Renewal Scheme operated by Kildare County Council, which is now open for expressions of interest, writes Brian Byrne.

Grants of between €20,000-€250,000 will be given to five of the applicants.

In addition to the primary goals, other projects which will be welcomed include regeneration initiatives that support active and vibrant town or village centres, remote working, upgrading shopfronts and street facades, and green spaces and parks, among others.
