CPC TY Drama for Moat Theatre in early May

The Cross and Passion College TY drama class are performing  The Grimm Tale of Cinderella by Katie McCann, in the Moat Theatre Naas on 5/6 May 2022. They are pictured here rehearsing in the Connolly Room at Kilcullen Community Centre.

The play tells how the Grimm Brothers, lost in the forest, are joined by a mysterious old woman. She has a tale to tell them, of a girl in difficult circumstances and the night that changed her life forever.

It’s not the story you might think it is … but of course there are bandits, a prince, a queen, a wicked stepmother. And the stories that will make the brothers known the world over.

The play is the second adaptation written by Katie McCann, a 2013 graduate of the Gaiety School of Acting. She previously adapted Hans Christian Anderson's The Little Match Girl and played the part of Daisy. Her own playwriting credits include Cirque des Rêves and Tales from Briar Hall.
