St Bridget’s Pitch & Putt goes live online

St Bridget's Pitch & Putt Club has launched a new website and becomes one of the first such clubs in the country to offer both its membership options and green fee options online, writes Mark Phelan, Committee Member and Webmaster.

St Bridget’s Pitch and Putt Club has stood at the heart of the community for the past 30 years. From humble beginnings the club has grown to be one of Ireland’s premier championship courses and has hosted many regional and national championships over those 30 years. As well as providing top-class playing facilities St Bridget’s has also produced many of Ireland’s leading players. Names such as the Byrne sisters and the Dillions are household names in Pitch & Putt circles across the country.

Known for its welcome, St Bridget’s Pitch & Putt has always had its doors open to any local or any player just passing through to drop by and try their hand at the sport. To move with the times the club has now launched its new website. The initiative has been pretty much Covid-led given the fact that we as a nation have increasingly moved towards a cashless society. The committee has recognised the need to offer our members and visitors additional options to pay for their membership or casual rounds.

Of course, anyone can still arrive at our course and pay the appropriate green fee in cash, but with our new online payment portal it now means that in just a few clicks any visitor can pay a green fee and head out and enjoy their round.

In addition, the club has also moved its major tournament entry system online where players from all over the country can now enter any of St Bridget’s major competitions with a few clicks. The first tournament of the new season will be the Liam Sherry Scratch Cup at the beginning of May.

The club welcomes new members and visitors all year so should you wish to join or just come and enjoy a single round of Pitch & Putt why not visit www.stbridgetspitchandputt.ie for all the information you will need and we look forward to welcoming you to our course.
