Kilcullen GAA reached 4th in Leinster in Irish Life Steps Challenge 2022
Kilcullen GAA and Community completed the My Life Challenge 2022, yesterday 23 February, in 4th place in Leinster, writes Liam Cronin, with 35,938.5km (almost nine laps of Ireland) in five weeks which is amazing.
When we started on 19 January we asked could everyone help us get 4,000km in five weeks, we did it in four days! We set a goal of Top Five in Leinster, we finished 4th for the second year in a row from over 200 clubs competing, and we were the Number 1 walking club in Kildare.
To the 189 walkers who took part, which was the second-highest number of walkers from any club in Leinster, a huge thank you. We hope you enjoyed the walking as much as we did, we were overwhelmed by the response. Next year, fingers crossed, we will compete again and break into the Top Three in Leinster.
Finally, thanks to everyone who took part in the Kilcullen GAA Lights Up For Operation Transformation walks the past few weeks. Due to the snow and rain forecast later today, there will be NO walk tonight and we will kick-off this walk again in January 2023.
