Permission to be granted for car park

Kildare County Council have notified of their intention to grant planning to alter and extend the existing car park at the rear of Fallons.

The granting of this planning will allow the use of this car park for public use and will aid with alternative parking the upcoming KCC Part 8 planning application for the development of The Square. The car park allows for the installation of features that are not available elsewhere in the town such as E-charging points for electric cars, age friendly parking and a bicycle storage stand.

The proposed works comprise construction of a new access road onto Riverside Road, provision of 44 parking spaces, a pay as you go electric car charging point, resurfacing of existing access lane, and a bicycle parking stand.
