KCA Litter Pick tomorrow

The first organised litter pick in 18 months by Kilcullen Community Action will take place tomorrow, Saturday 25 September.
Following the removal of outdoor meet-ups restrictions, volunteers will gather at 10am behind the Town Hall to conduct a litter pick. Anyone who wants to join in will be welcomed.
During the pandemic restrictions, KCA members conducted many hundreds of picks on an individual basis, some doing so several times a week. One volunteer has been working at 6am every morning.
Although there is good use of the some 15 litter bins around the town, KCA says there is still a cohort of people who feel it is OK to leave their litter around. The worst spots include the Valley Park at weekends, and the approach roads where motorists seem to throw bags of takeaway, drink cans, out of their windows on to the road and over hedges without a thought.
