Fire at Kilcullen motorway junction destroys car

A car that caught fire caused traffic disruption this evening at the off-ramp to Kilcullen from the M9 motorway, writes Brian Byrne.

The Citroen saloon burst into flames around 5pm, and was subsequently destroyed in the incident. There are no reports of injuries.

The incident was attended by two units of Kildare Fire Brigade, with auxiliary water tenders.
