ATMs will go when bank closes branch
Kilcullen will lose two Bank of Ireland ATMs when the local branch closes next month, writes Brian Byrne.
The internal machine will obviously be gone, but it was confirmed to the Diary today that the 'hole in the wall' outside machine will also be removed. Both machines are currently used by customers for withdrawals and lodgements.
Lodgement and withdrawal services will be available at Kilcullen Post Office by arrangement with the bank, but there are no plans to replace the ATM at the PO, part of Eurospar, with a BOI machine capable of taking lodgements.
Account holders of the Kilcullen branch will see their accounts moved to Newbridge. The bank building is scheduled to be sold in early 2022.
