Take a walk on the wild side
While everything is in full bloom, it's worth while taking an observational walk around some of Kilcullen's wild meadow areas, writes Brian Byrne.
Thanks to the work of Kilcullen Community Action, the Kilcullen Biodiversity Group, and environmentally aware residents, there's lots to see just now.
The unmown section of Nicholastown Green has pathways aimed especially at the little ones, who can wander through with their parents to find special wild-flower treasures.
The Dun Ailinne Interpretive Park also has a visually attractive section of flowers, grasses, and shrubbery, and the wild meadow planted behind Scoil Bhride with the help of a Kildare Credit Union grant is also an area of joy.
And of course, you'll know already about the wild part of the work in progress Library Garden.
