More plants distributed by biodiversity group

The Kilcullen Biodiversity and Pollinator Group, with support from a biodiversity grant from KCC and Kilcullen Community Action support, have been able to grow and distribute native Borage plants, Lupins and Foxgloves around the town roads and local estates, writes the group's Paul Leighton.

We have also been able to purchase the following early pollinators for 2022, to support the native Irish pollinators in spring — Sarcococca hookeriana, Viburnum bodnantense 'Dawn', and Skimmia 'Fragrant Cloud'. These have been distributed to the estates signed up to the town pollinator group.

A big thank you to KCC and KCA and all the estates for their involvement and support with this ongoing project.

Any estates wishing to join the group are very welcome to make contact.
