Support Thomas's Cycle for Saplings School
On Sunday 25th April at 12pm, Thomas McGrath is undertaking a 5km cycle to help raise funds for Saplings School for children with autism in Carlow. A 5km cycle may not seem much to the average cyclist, but this is being done on a tandem bike, because of Thomas's additional needs.
Thomas will start the cycle with his dad from his house and go between Kilgowan Cross and Walls of Kilgowan, (because there are no hills!) until he clocks up 5km. He needs lots of encouragement to stay on the bike, so if anyone is in the area next Sunday at 12pm, please shout out to him or beep the car horn if passing.
He has got the very kind support of some local employees from Nolan's Butchers, who will cycle along with him. The school is trying to raise €20,000 so that each pupil can avail of speech and language therapy.
There will be a sponsorship card in Nolan's Butchers for the week if anyone is in a position to donate any amount or you can donate through this Facebook page link. Many thanks to everyone who has already donated, it is greatly appreciated.
