Water pressure, supply warning for Thursday

Low water pressure or supply disruptions may happen on Thursday across a wide swathe of mid-Kildare from Naas through Two-Mile House and Kilcullen and as far as Kilgowan, writes Brian Byrne.

The situation relates to essential works at the Ballymore Eustace Treatment Plant scheduled for 24 hours from 10am on Thursday.

Other areas around Kilcullen that may be affected include Carnalway, Brannockstown, Kennycourt and Gilltown.

The works are part of the Barrow Extension Project, which include upgrades to the pipework at Ballymore and the Old Kilcullen Reservoir.
