Fallons to upgrade outdoor eating space

This is an example of the outside space installation which will be used by Fallons of Kilcullen when restrictions allow reopening for outside eating, writes Brian Byrne.
It follows on from the success of their outdoor eating space last year (below) during the short relief from lockdowns.
The 7m x7m umbrella has inbuilt heating and lighting, and is operated electrically. It is made by Meissl Open-Air Solutions in Austria, and will be installed in time for the hoped-for reopening for restaurants by mid-summer.
Fallons is the first restaurant in Ireland to order the system through Outdoor Spaces, based in Kilternan, Dublin. The company has been busy in recent times installing free-standing weather canopies at schools around the country.
