Big C Choir's Covid project helps Newbridge Cancer Support Group

This is a special performance by the Big C Choir to raise funds for the Newbridge Cancer Support Group. A GoFundMe page has been set up for anyone who would like to donate.

It is a beautiful performance of REM's classic song 'Everybody Hurts', arranged by Owen C Lynch and performed by the Big C Choir, a County Kildare based mixed choir who fundraise tirelessly for cancer related charities throughout Ireland.

The choir was founded in 2011 by Christina O'Connell, herself a survivor of breast cancer. Starting small with just four people there are now over 50 members, with Kilcullen people regularly part of the operation.

To date, the Big C Choir has raised over €72,000 for cancer related charities including Newbridge Cancer Support Group, St Brigid's Hospice, Friends of Naas Hospital, St James's Hospital Research, St James's Hospital Oncology, Crumlin Medical & Research Foundation, St John's Ward Crumlin, the Jack & Jill Foundation and The Irish Cancer Society.

This recording is the choir's Covid project for Christmas.
