Thinking food for the weekend?


The offerings from Kalbarri Cookery this coming weekend include Beef in chilli with a hint of ginger with sliced lemon and herb potatoes, €12; Chicken masala with fragrant rice €12; Arancini with red pepper sauce tub of four, €6. Back by popular demand are Spare Ribs with pickled cucumber, €10; New from the Bakeshop a slice of Sicily Cassata Torte. Place meal orders before Friday by text message only to 087 2932501.

Saturday's savoury menu from Armelle's Kitchen includes Pork stuffed Savoy Cabbage parcels with cooking Broth and Rice, €9; Lamb Moussaka, €8; Bacon & Mushroom Crêpes two for €8. You can reserve in advance by emailing or call on 045 480697.

Fallons meals to go from their Gourmet Garage are open Wednesday to Sunday, 11am-5pm. There are also Treat boxes, Cheese and wine box options as noted here

The Spout open for takeaway pizzas, pints and cocktails, Monday-Friday 5-9pm, Saturday and Sunday 4-9pm.

And the Brown Bear has its regular takeaway menu Thursday through Sunday evenings. You can take away a pint too, from 5.30pm. Call 045 883561.
