Back at the desk, but still eyes on across the Atlantic

Still no final answers from across the Atlantic, but the Diary is getting back to normal business after a veritable binge of American news channels TV watching yesterday, writes Brian Byrne.

But, having family in America, I'm still watching the county-by-county counts in those 'battleground' states that might eventually get us all off the knife-edge, as I go about my work.

I'm sure there's a cure somewhere for election addiction. I'm just not ready for it yet.
