Planning appeal wins permission for 54 houses

An Bord Pleanala has granted planning permission for 54 dwellings at Naas Road, Kilcullen, writes Brian Byrne.

The application by Knoxpark Developments Limited was for 2-, 3- and 4-bedroomed homes, behind the existing estate originally built by George Brown. They include semi detached 2-storey, dormer and single storey dwellings.

The original estate was built in the 1970s, leaving the bulk of the originally planned site with services and infrastructure in place.

Kildare County Council turned down the original application in April of this year.

Design and planning for the development was by Murphy Design.
