Help wanted to move a (small) mountain

A call for volunteers to work tonight in the Community Garden project at the Library has been made by Kilcullen Community Action, writes Brian Byrne.

At last night's KCA meeting, project leader Martin Sheridan said volunteers would be welcome between 6.30pm and 9pm this evening to help distribute a load of topsoil which has been delivered to the site.

"This garden is for the community, so it would be nice if we had a good representation from across the community for the evening, including young people — anyone who can use a shovel," he said.

The development activity for the garden, being provided with the blessing of the County Kildare Library and Arts Service, had been paused during the pandemic lockdown period. But work is now in train again.

Last night's meeting was preceded by the KCA AGM 2020.
