Irish Garden Birds online presentation planned by Library
A talk on Common Irish Garden Birds, given via Zoom by Patrick Hunt, will be hosted by the Kildare Library Service on Wednesday 20 May, writes Brian Byrne.
Geared for pupils in 3rd to 6th classes, it will also no doubt be fascinating for many of the parents of those children.
The presentation will show what the birds look like, what they eat and how they survive in gardens, and will explain ways to encourage them into school and home gardens.
The event is part of the Library Service's contribution to National Biodiversity Week and there will be two sessions on the day, at 9.30am and 12.30pm, each including Q&A times.
Bookings are required and can be made by emailing kildarelibrarybookings@gmail.com.
