No Bluebells and Buskers this year, but the bluebells will grow

The annual BlueBells and Buskers celebration in Killinthomas Wood in Rathangan will not take place this year due to the Covid-19 situation, writes Brian Byrne.

Though on the other side of the county, it has been a popular day out for many Kilcullen people on the first Sunday in May, in the process helping Rathangan's RYARC Community Centre and the community organisations that make use of it.

I've put up a selection of my pictures from the 2017 event with Kevin McLeod's Maple Leaf Rag underpinning, as a reminded that it is getting to that lovely time of year anyhow and maybe to bring a spring smile to people.

It's also a congratulations to the former TD for Kildare South Fiona O'Loughlin, whose family are among the organisers of Bluebells and Buskers, for her achievement in winning a seat in Seanad Éireann.
