Looking Back: Paddy Smith's bar stool

For today's nostalgia fix, here are a couple from my own archive boxes, writes Brian Byrne. They are photos I took in the front bar of The Hideout during the early 1980s.

The context is a small plaque having been placed above the seat where Paddy Smith habitually sat. The picture above shows my dad Jim Byrne, with Paddy and my brother Des Byrne.

The one below is Paddy behind the bar, possibly invited to top up his pint, with Des and Matty Conway.

All gone now, but never forgotten.
