Wildflower areas to be 'mapped out'
Members of Kilcullen Community Action will be visiting the residential estates around the town tomorrow to map out where wild flowers and other pollinator-friendly planting can be done, writes Brian Byrne.
At Thursday's KCA meeting, Paul Leighton of the Pollinator Group said the idea is to get all the groups who have signed up to KCA's Pollinator Plan doing the projects in their areas.
He added that it is very important for all stakeholders to attend the two upcoming workshops organised under Kildare Community Biodiversity Project, scheduled for 10 March and 21 March. They will be addressed by horticulturists assigned to Kilcullen, one of ten towns in Kildare which have been selected for the Project.
KCA Chair Ann Cashman urged all members to contact as many people as possible for the events.
