Well, you can ease your conscience somewhat in that local shop where you never know what you'll find — Woodbine Books.

Like these notebooks, blank or lined, or planners, that are made from 82.5pc rubbish.

Badly made books are based in Cork, so it's Irish rubbish too. Specifically those aforementioned used coffee cups, recycled paper, and consumer waste card.

(And they'll probably fit inside your Kilcullen made Carve On leather notebook cover ... must try that next time I'm down.)
