A busy weekend ...

Just a reminder of some of the things in Kilcullen today and tomorrow which is making for a very busy weekend, writes Brian Byrne.

Today, Saturday, things kick off at 10am for participants in Conor Williams's Basics of Photography class,.

At 11am, those who like to support Maintain Hope can go along to the Coffee Morning organised in their home at White Hall by Esther Reddy and Joe Dooley. You can also meet Julius Arega from Kenya, who was in the Ngong Children's Home from the age of seven and who today is working to make sure that children like he was are supported with their families. On until 2pm.

Also at 11am, the launch of Johnny Magory and the Forest Fleadh Cheoil in Woodbine Books is a good place to bring your young children. A nice blend of storytelling and books ambience for children and parents alike.

The St Laurence’s Christmas Food, Art & Craft Fair first session is from 6pm at the GAA club in Narraghmore. It continues on Sunday from 12 noon.

The annual Dylstock Music Festival in O'Connell's Bar starts at 7pm tonight and goes on until late.

In The Hideout, the No 1 Fitness Members Party and 4th Anniversary bash is on from 8pm.

And, of course, this evening is the last occasion of the week to get to see The Seafarer, produced by Kilcullen Drama Group.

Don't say you have nowhere to go ...
