Past Times: The Kilcullen Bazaar Gymkhana, 1944

Once more from the Liam Walker archives, a programme from the Gymkhana held during the 'Kilcullen Bazaar', at Berney's Inch in 1944.

The Bazaar itself ran for a week, and we wonder was it a forerunner to the Kilcullen annual Carnival which raised funds for the Parish?

Lots of family names still familiar in the town are among the owners of the ponies and horses on the event card. We suspect that the competing equines didn't normally have such fancy names?
