Free Climate Action course offered by Kildare Leader

A Climate Action Training Course is being offered to communities by County Kildare Leader Partnership, writes Brian Byrne.

The course is free and will run over ten weeks, during which participants will learn how their community can become 'climate smart'.

It will be run by Education for Sustainable Development and begins with an all-day session on Saturday 28 September in Solas Bhride in Kildare. There will also be a trip by participants to Cloughjordan eco-village on Saturday 19 October. Other sessions will be on Thursday evenings in Athy.

A handbook on the course can be downloaded here. Booking can be done online here.

Education for Sustainable Development was established by sustainability entrepreneur Gavin Harte, who holds a master’s degree in sustainable development from DIT Bolton St. He has initiated many sustainability focused start-ups, was a founder of the Cloughjordan eco-village, and served as national director of An Taisce.
