Brannockstown fun in O'Connells last night

With a dozen tables, the Brannockstown Table Quiz filled O'Connell's upstairs lounge last night with a buzz of in-team questions and a certain amount of head-scratching, writes Brian Byrne.

The winning team was Olive Dunlop, Jennifer Stacey, Deirdre Stacey and John and Judith Jeffers. Runners-up was the team comprising Desmond Patrick Courtney, Richie Kelly, Andrew Dempsey and Des Cogan.

Organisers Brannockstown Community Group congratulated the winning tables. Anthony Carter thanked the sponsors, all who attended the event and those who assisted in its organisation. He also thanked O’Connells Bar for hosting the evening.

Sponsors of the Table Quiz included Eurospar, Nolan's Butchers, Ger's Fruit and Veg, Avoca, Hair Emporium, The Powder Room, Centra, Eye Candy, Burkes Pharmacy, Fallons, Killashee House Hotel, Rachel and Andrew Dempsey, Chadwicks, the Country Market, Paul Boucheron, Audrey Moore and Mary Sherry.

On a side note, the Group has also expressed thanks to everyone in the community who assisted in the Tidy Towns work over the last number of weeks.
