Alcohol by-laws proposals on view

The proposed bye-laws on consumption of alcohol in public places are now available to view in Kilcullen Library, writes Brian Byrne.

The by-laws when implemented will apply in 20 towns and villages throughout the county, and will specify fixed penalty fines and possible prosecution in the courts for people who contravene them.

The proposals can also be viewed on Kildare County Council's website www.kildarecoco.ie. The inspection period runs until 24 July 2019, and the closing date for submissions is 5pm on Wednesday 7 August 2019.

Submissions can be made at customerservice@kildarecoco.ie or in writing to the Senior Executive Officer, Corporate Services Department, Kildare County Council, Áras Chill Dara, Devoy Park, Naas.
