Want to help with Kilcullen in Bloom planting today?

Out with the old, in preparation for Kilcullen in Bloom 2019.

Today is planting day for the more than 200 window boxes and planters that will underpin Kilcullen In Bloom 2019, writes Brian Byrne.

The KCA/Tidy Towns initiative has literally grown from strength to strength since its inauguration as the Summer Flowers Project back in 2008 at the suggestion by and support from Brian Fallon.

Last year the planting session proved a great community event. The same is planned for today, with the event beginning at 11am in the yard behind the Vincents shop on Main Street.

If you have 10 minutes to spare, or 60, feel free to go along and plant for Kilcullen in Bloom. Access is through the archway.
