Bird and Nature Day in Grange Con

A Bird and Nature Day will be held at Ballynure Church in Grange Con tomorrow, Sunday 31 March, after the 11am Service, writes Brian Byrne.

This follows the installation of bird boxes and a bee habitat around the church, as well as the planting of Winter Flowering Cherry trees, as part of the Village Orchard Project.

The event will include a Nature Hunt for children, and a talk about birds, bats and bugs. A buzzard and a barn owl will feature. Tea and coffee provided, all are welcome.

The initiative is part of the Grange Con Tidy Towns programme.
