Bees project moving ahead

A hive and frames have been purchased for the planned Kilcullen Bees Project, writes Brian Byrne.

Noel Clare told the the recent meeting of Kilcullen Community Action that the project leader Paul Leighton had secured the hive at a good price.

A second hive will be built by a local craftsman.

There was some discussion on the location for the hives, which have to be in a secure place, but with access available to bring schoolchildren and other interested people to see them.
