Noel brings his national trophy home to Kilcullen
Noel Lambe of Nolans Butchers proudly holding the trophy for the Best New Innovation Product — 'Noel’s Irish Breakfast Roll' — praised by the judges for its creativity and outstanding innovation at the National Sausage and Pudding Competition organised by the Associated Craft Butchers of Ireland, writes Brian Byrne.
With him are members of the Nolans Butchers team who also collected trophies for their Home Made Sausages, and Home Made Black & White Pudding at the event, held in the K Club last weekend.
Noel's innovative product combines Nolans famous sausages with chopped smoked bacon, cranberry black pudding, and white pudding in a pastry covered roulade — all making one delicious Irish Breakfast Roll.
The Roll is sold in slices by weight, which can be individually cooked in an oven, or the whole piece can be cooked to provide for a party.
The awards were presented by Darina Allen of Ballymaloe Cookery School.
