Author Donal Ryan in Woodbine this afternoon
Author and Irish Book Week Ambassador Donal Ryan will be talking about his work and life in Woodbine Books today, at 2.30pm, writes Brian Byrne
This will be followed by a book signing session for his latest novel, From a Low and Quiet Sea, which was long-listed for the Man Booker Prize.
His first published novel, The Spinning Heart, has won several awards including Newcomer of the Year in the Irish Book Awards 2012, Guardian First Book Award in 2013, and the European Union Prize for Literature in 2015. It was also long-listed for the Booker Prize in 2013.
This is the last of a series of events organised by Dawn Behan of Woodbine for the inaugural Irish Book Week.
