Sponsor appeal for 'bottle to beat cancer'

The Kilcullen Relay for Life Team are looking for a sponsor for their 'Bottle to Beat Cancer' initiative, which has proved very successful, writes Brian Byrne.

A trial batch of water bottles with the Relay for Life and Irish Cancer Society logos have proved very popular, and are likely to be sold out this weekend. The bottle carries the slogan 'I've the bottle to beat cancer'.

They are available from the team on Saturday mornings in the Credit Union office in Kilcullen, at €6 each.

"If we can get a sponsor for a further batch, we can incorporate their own name on the bottles, which will be sold across Kildare and at the Relay for Life Kildare in Punchestown," says Sabina Reddy.

Getting a sponsor would also improve the margin they make over the current batch, increasing the money they will eventually provide towards the work of the Irish Cancer Society.
