Local company helping to sort Galway traffic problems
Kilcullen based Murphy Surveys has provided key data for the Galway Transport Strategy aimed at easing congestion in the city's transport system, writes Brian Byrne.
The company worked with consulting engineers Arup, making a detailed orthophoto survey of the city area using aerial photography and other techniques, with no disruption to road traffic and pedestrians. An audit of all roadside markings and street signage was also provided.
Murphy Surveys work helped provide an accurate and detailed base map for the GTS, an initiative of Galway City Council in partnership with the National Transport Authority.
