Thanks to a dedicated team behind the local fundraising for Pieta House, the second such open-air concert under the banner of Twilight Chorus is geared, set and ready for the opening chords ... following on from this morning's very successful fourth Dawn Walk through New Abbey Stud.
Sound checks are starting shortly. The electrics are plugged in and the sound man will be sheltered from the elements (this year, the sun). Luckily, Joe O'Connor noticed a little earlier this afternoon that a breeze off the river was threatening to give the gazebo liftoff, and tied it down with a rope he happened to have in his car.
You never know when you need a little bit of extra rope ...
With Mundy headlining, supported by the wonderful talents of the real Kilcullen Gospel Choir, and — if it is to your taste — the opportunity to drink a little wine alfresco in the current Mediterranean Liffeyside weather with friends old and to be made, what's more to ask for?
Enjoy.
