Plant Sale at Kildare Steiner School on Friday

Working at the New Growth Project.
There will be a plant sale at Kildare Steiner School on Friday next, beginning at 12.30pm.

It's a great opportunity for gardeners to pick up some interesting plants for their gardens.

All the plants are being donated by The Garden School based in Marlay Park in Dublin. It is a social enterprise that uses horticulture to promote social inclusiveness through The New Growth Project.

All the plants will be hardy garden plants grown by the students as part of their Horticultural training. The selection of plants on sale will include some unusual plants as well as old garden favourites.

Ciaran Burke from The Garden School will be there to answer questions and give advice. Gardeners may know Ciaran from his articles in The Irish Garden and as garden columnist for The Sacred Heart Messenger.

The sale runs until 2pm. Bring your own bag or box for transporting plants so as to reduce environmental impact.
