Ophelia strips church slates
The winds from Ophelia have badly damaged the roof of Kilcullen Parish Church, writes Brian Byrne.
The damage is in two sections where slates have been stripped off.
Some were caught on gutters, but others fell on the area in front of the church, and one slate sailed all the way across to the wall surrounding the Library.
Meantime, the rest of the town seems to have escaped with minor issues, mainly a lot of tree debris on the footpaths, and a few small trees down around the Community Centre area.
